Before The Curtains Of Night Come Down

as I lay my head on the pillow, a glimpse of dawn fell lightly through my eyes, tickled the aching hope in me and gently whispered to me a new day, to cherish the sighs of the night that paint a smile afterwards, to witness the rising of a sun that blows away all the ashes of yesterday.

a glimpse of dawn forced its way from nowhere into the shrunken void in my room, smashed out all the fear that dwells inside, seducing my heart to another chance, and fueling my enthusiast that I once had.

I lifted up my head as I was reborn today, holding my broken dreams in my hands, walking anxiously many steps ahead, for I’ve been given a precious gift to wipe away all the yesterdays and tomorrows, and so I shall be seizing those moments of light before the curtains of night come down.
