I’ll be home for Christmas!

Erma Bombeck once said: “There’s nothing sadder in this world than to awake Christmas morning and not be a child.”

On this snowy night I am a child again, miles away from home I dream of the shade of my father’s Christmas tree, caressed by the harsh breezes of winter I yearn for the warmth of my mother’s embrace, would the Christmas eve take me home again? to sing with the rhythms of jingle bills and mingle with the presents underneath the Christmas tree.

It’s amazing how every year on this time I find myself a child again, homesick though I am home, but as December passes by so gently one more time, bringing back old laughters and long gone scars, I know again that I’ll be home for Christmas!
